2011 in review

Thanks to everyone who has enjoyed my blog this past year! May the new year be a magical and fortuitous series of events!!!! Happy New Year everyone!

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 27,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 10 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Some of you may or may not know about the case of Bridget Cleary, the woman who, in 1895, was murdered by her own husband because he thought she was abducted by the fairies and a changeling was left in her place. He ended up burning her and was sentenced to 15 years in prison for manslaughter.

Here is a link to an in-depth telling of the story http://www.controverscial.com/Fairy%20Witch%20of%20Clonmel.htm

And for the skimmers here’s a Wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bridget_Cleary
